The theme is as the title suggests - expression.

Creating something with expression is a tricky thing. I wanted to break it down and understand what drives emotion in a visual form. The eyes are always the sign of what someone is feeling, so what would happen if I took that away?

When the eyes are not visible, it is tricky to pinpoint the emotion. I have asked many people to tell me what they see and feel in this painting. The answers differ between both extremes. I have received answers ranging between grief, determination, hopeless, victorious.
