A successful event to say the least!

First of the event since covid, the eagerness of the crowd kept the artists busy. There were 6 artists and they were busy for the entire night. It had been the first event of this kind that I had participated in - to draw portraits of sitters in such a one on one exchange. I was not as nervous as I may have been in the past; it invigorated me!

Being able to give the gift of art that is so personalised is an exciting moment. During this coming summer, I hope to instigate and participate in similar events. I have learned things that I would change in the process and how I may approach the material. The more that I go through the process, the more I’ll learn and I am excited for it.
